This site is primarily a text and photo journal of some of the trips we have taken since 1994. There is a short history of the family in the About Us page of this site. The site also contains family photo galleries. We hope you enjoy the site and welcome any comments.

2008 promises to be almost as exciting as 2007. Matching three major excursions in 2007 isn't going to be easy but here goes. I had been thinking of going back to Latvia for a visit but was always hesitant to do so. While on the Panama cruise we got to talking to a couple who had just come back from a visit to the Chech Republic and visiting with relatives there. Somehow I mentioned my roots and my apprehensions and the couple responded that I would be silly to not go and would come to regret it later when I wasn't able to do so anymore. That set the stage. I started to look into it but stopped when Rosemarie said that I should take one of my sons instead of her. At Thanksgiving dinner one of my sons asked when we were going to Latvia and I said we weren't. He immediately said that he would go with me. My other son who was there also volunteered and my third son also chimed in as a volunteer. Unfortunately my fourth son will not be able to make it due to work requirements so it will be myself and three of my sons.
